IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP
Students will learn the key skills needed for successful improvisation then translate those skills into a performative outcome of a mini Theatre Sports competition. All of which has the overall theme of Wonderland which will influence the characters and improvisations throughout the day.
This workshop allows the students to explore the fundamentals of improvisation and to explore and demonstrate what it means to be spontaneous, creative, accept offers and how to move the dramatic action forward all whilst performing for a live audience. They will explore all elements of improvisation mostly through games, exercises and role-play. Theatre Sports forces us as creatives to work with mistakes on the run and fix things as we go, taking the emphasis off mistakes and turning them into opportunities. Lastly, this workshop allows the students to come together in a fun and light hearted way.
FULL DAY IMPRO WORKSHOP

The students will explore all of these elements of improvisation mostly through games, exercises and role-play. At Goat Track we believe the importance of teaching students the importance of being able to accept mistakes and to frame them as learnings: we make it ‘ok’ to make a mistake and look for creative ways to come up with solutions to problems. Ultimately, Improvisation allows students to develop a Growth Mindset.
